How do you follow the exploding whale?

Well I'm sure that this blog is not read anymore, but in the interest of it being Sunday and not much to do.... So Here is our semi annual update.

Konden just gave ASU the bird (his words, not mine plus its an inside joke-let it be known that Konden has never actually given ASU the bird, under the dashboard or otherwise) which means that he is done with coursework! To celebrate, he is not working this summer so that he can get ready for comps. It may seem a little foolhardy to go 2 months without income, but we weren't earning that much more than nothing anyways, so it doesn't really make that big of a difference. I cannot state how thrilling it is for him to really really be starting on the home stretch. YES! WE ARE ALMOST NORMAL!

Me: I've been taking those cake decorating classes that they have at stores like Michaels, and had so much fun with it, that I was going to start teaching them. So you have to fill out an application for Michaels and do a background check and take this test that asks questions like
" It's okay to come to work high if you can still function." or " It's okay to steal from your employer if they don't pay you enough" and you fill in the bubble whether you agree or disagree. Well it turns out that I failed to meet the minimun standard on that test to be hired by Michaels. So my glamourous dreams of being a wilton instructor have not come to fruition. So yeah, Konden's getting his Phd and I can't even be hired to work retail. Oh well. It's too late now, we're already married.

Kids: Jane's scheming, Eliza's reading awesomely, Edith was good at church today, Aster and Norah are fighting over my lap right now. And Buddy eats diapers.

I still check your blog periodically. Glad you guys are doing ok. Who needs Michaels anyways right? And yay for Konden!

I'm so glad you wrote again. I check it every week or so, just in case. You didn't say what you answered on those questions. I love reading about your life! You guys are my hero's.
